problem after replacing the switch

Postby cb25 » Sat Nov 21, 2009 2:18 pm

Hi,
I've just replaced the down switch of my GH world tour guitar which was faulty with your repair kit but now both switch (up and down) don't work anymore. I fear the whole strummer part(?) is broken as the other buttons of the guitar are still working.
Do you sell the complete strummer part with both switch and the other things ? cause I guess it has to be completely replaced...
thx for your help

Hi

We are currently in talks with a few companies about manufacturing replacement circuit board for the guitars, when we have any news we will be posting back here and on the website.

If you have a mulitmeter you can test the board you have quite easily and find out if your problem really is with the board or rather with the switches or their installation. The most common issue when replacing the switches if using too much heat when desoldering and taking the copper contacts off from round the solder points. If you do have a multimeter get back and we will talk you through what to test.

Thanks

I don't have a multimeter but I think the board is dead cause i did not touch the upper switch and it was working before I try to change the other switch but it doesn't anymore.
Anyway if you can sell replacement circuit board i'm interested
