How is the gameplay in DJ Hero

Postby SteveAdmin » Tue Nov 03, 2009 12:13 am

Well after a heavy weekend full of scratching and plenty of 'wikka-wikka-waa's' we have had a chance to put DJ hero through its paces and we LOVE it! It is a game all about the music, obviously, and if you dont like the music you will not like the game but none of our lot are dance music fans (all metal heads!) but this game is changing things expect to see lots more glowstick around here from now on!

We love the fact you do not 'die' for putting on a bad mix, but rather what happens is you let the other people in the room down by not hitting the notes and scratches when they are grooving to the music - the feeling of letting people down is way worse than what happens if you mess up a GH song.

The game is pick up and play easy all the way up to medum difficulty then I think a bit of skill and technique come in much the Guitar Hero series which is good, you can play it through now and have a bit of fun but if you still want to be playing it in a few months time you will need to progress up the difficulty scale, it maintains great longevity like this.

Looking forward to some of the DLC coming out, just hope they venture into a few more areas of that type of music - I wanna see 'jungle is massive' tracks with lots of siren samples

What you you think? getting on well with it or reaching for the trusty old guitar still?

I really do enjoy how it's more technical than guitar hero. Playing guitar hero now just seems so boring. there is a lot more things going on so it doesn't just come down to how fast you can flick the strum bar.

Yes I agee with that - but my eyes still need to adjust to seeing what is going on during the intense bits! Took me until GHWT to even read the guitar solos properly, suppose you could just say Im a slow learner!
