CYMBAL WOES

Postby ericandmel » Thu Feb 04, 2010 2:10 pm

So, I've recently had the seemingly common cymbal problem. Here's a breakdown of what transpired.
1.Yellow cymbal quit.
2. Swapped cymbals and yellow works fine on orange side.
3. Swapped wires. Yellow works again, orange now dead on purpose.
4.Played for a couple of hours, yellow went dead again.

I would buy two more wires and have some good quality ones for each side, but I don't want to do so if something else is somehow frying the cables. Have you heard of the the board the wires plug into cuasing this kind of problem? Should I by another of those boards/how easier are they to replace?

I am using GH World Tour on PS2.

Any help making a decision would be appreciated.

Hi ericandmel

Welcome to the forums.

I would say from what you have said that the problem is with the cables, it is very uncommon for anything to be wrong with the circuit board.

If you swapped the cymbals over and the non working cymbal started to work on the other side it is a pretty safe bet that the cables are the cause of your woes!

Thanks
