Rewind doesn't register

Postby SteveG » Fri Jan 22, 2010 9:33 pm

[Edit] - Just seen another thread with an identical problem. Looks like I've have to go down the warranty route :(

http://guitarherorepair.com/forum/topic44.html

I've got a different rewind problem to the usual one. 50% of the time the rewind doesn't register, meaning I end up missing notes and losing the multiplier. I thought it was me at first and tried spinning the deck back at different speeds, then thought maybe I'm not doing a complete 360 from the start position - but now I think it's not me, it's the controller. However, I don't have any problems with scratches, they never drop out so the back/forward motion must be working. And yes, I've tried changing batteries!

What makes the controller detect a rewind from a scratch? Could it be something I'm doing (spinning too fast/slow)?

Assuming it is the controller and I have to get a replacement, who do I contact - the retailer or Activision?
